Liverpool, Port City in Merseyside!

Sad to say that Liverpool is the last city during our day trips, and which means it marks the end of our wonderful and awesome day trips in UK...! If you ever heard of Liverpool, I'm sure you heard it from your footballs-fans-friends. Yes! Liverpool is the home for two Premiere League football club, Liverpool and Everton, but, we're not visiting any football stadium in Liverpool this time, but the fascinating city itself.

Similar with Whitby, Liverpool is located near the sea and that's what makes it a port city. We aligned at the best known dock in Liverpool, - Albert Dock which was constructed 1846. The Albert Dock houses restaurants, bars, shops, two hotels as well as the Merseyside Maritime Museum, and The Beatles Story.
Albert Dock, look great isn't it?
Not only the home to the famous football club, Liverpool is also the born place of the well-known boy bands - The Beatles! The Beatles Story is an award-winning visitor attraction that it is the largest permanent exhibition devoted to the lives and times of The Beatles. If you're a fan of The Beatles, you definitely should not miss it, not only discover the wonderful tale of The Beatles, but also buy some awesome related products here.

The Beatles Story
Located in the heart of Albert Dock, Merseyside Maritime Museum is a place you wouldn't want to miss! It's an ideal place to submerge yourself in  Liverpool’s historic seafaring past and uncover the development of the famous port. Surely you will be amazed by some of the ship models and stories that you'll find here!

A large torpedo that I found in the museum!
Articles about gay sailors! That's quite interesting~
If you're walking into the center of Liverpool city, you will notice this very tall free-standing tower. It's actually the radio and observer tower - Radio City Tower. Not only houses the offices and conference room of the radio station, the tower also consist of an observation deck for tourist to have a nice view of the entire city as it is the second tallest building in Liverpool!

One of my favourite attractions here is the Liverpool Cathedral, the Britain's biggest Cathedral and it's also the world's 6th largest church. It was designed and built in Gothic style, it is regarded as one of the greatest building to be constructed  during the 20th century. The outlook of Liverpool Cathedral might not seems to be very attractive, but the moment you step inside, you will truly be amazed of how beautiful it is!

The front of Liverpool Cathedral, very huge and tall right?
The inside of the cathedral, look how amazing it is!
Getting blessings from God.
We then met up with our friend who was studying in Liverpool John Moores University who eventually become our tour guide - Joan, at Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King. It is my favourite attraction in Liverpool, unlike the churches we used to see, it is built in a modern way. I like how the designer use the lighting inside the Cathedral, instead of the ordinary orange-yellow that we always see, it uses neon blue instead!

The inside of Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, beautiful lighting isn't it?
Joan told us that we shouldn't miss our visit to the Liverpool World Museum, where it has multiple floors from history to science to biology and astronomy. Unlike the other Museum, instead of walking around and seeing artifacts, I had a lot of fun here~!

Real Mummy from Egypt!
Meteorite! It might seems small but it's heavy!
You will notice these strange looking sculptures with different paintings on the streets around the city, it's known as Super Lambanana where it's said to be the combination of Lamb and Banana!

One of the Super Lambanana we found! (Opps, the head was hidden behind)
We still had some time before leaving this beautiful city, so we went to the grass field near Hilton hotel to take some rests and also some selfies!

Everyone is enjoying the summer sun~
